Mark Serkez vs. Keith McCabe
In the "Fight of the Night" tilt, Mark "Baby Hulk Serkez and Keith "Red Bearded Assasin" McCabe dealt a grueling 3 round stand up war much to the delight of the thousands in attendance at the Sun Dome. Serkez was victorious by a very close 29-28 unanimous decision with the difference in the war being a few take downs he scored throughout the bout. Serkez is undefeated in Art of Fighting and has now taken home his third straight bonus. As the initial Art of Fighting middleweight champion fight still looms, Serkez has taken his place as the top contender.

Another victory in the "Win" column for Mark Serkez. His fight against Corey Krebs was an absoulte amazing fight, not just becasue of the action in the ring but also because of all the events leading up to the fight.

Monday morning, August 17, 2009, Mark recieves a phone call from a teammate asking if he wants to take a fight. Without knowing the opponent, date, location, or weight class, he immedately says yes. His teammate calls back and tells him he is fighting on Saturday and has to move up a weight class from 185 to 205, and his oppenent will be 6'7" Corey Krebs. With only 5 days to prepare for this fight, Mark has alot of hard work to fit into a short time.

At weigh-ins Corey stepped on the scales at 201 lbs. Next was Mark's turn, stepping on the scales fully clothed, wearing shoes, pants, and a sweatshirt, he weighed in at 200 lbs. During the face off you could feel the tension in the air. For two people who live in the same city, and at one time long ago, trained at the same academy, there was not a lot of respect being handed out.

Now on to the fight... As the bell rings both men move to the center of the ring and Mark puts out his hand as a sign of respect, and Corey refuses to touch gloves. The action starts with both men firing out a few jabs to see the reactions of his opponent, followed by combinations. After a few seconds of this Corey moved in and took a dominate position by clinching with Mark and shoving him into the cage. After repeated takedown attempts by Corey with no success, Mark circled out from the clinch and threw a nice combo that just missed. Now back in the center of the ring, Corey fires some heavy punches that catch mark squarely in the face. You could tell Mark was rocked, but he did not wobble at all. He answered back with a stiff right jab and uppercut that rocked Coreys head back. Again Corey drives Mark into the cage, and this time takes him down to the canvas. Immedately Mark gets back to guard and stands right back up. Corey looks for a standing guillotine choke, that Mark shrugs off. Back in the center of the ring again, Corey gets the clinch and fires a knee which catches Mark in the forehead. Immedately Mark circles out and his face is covered with blood. The ref steps in and calls time out to get a doctor to check the cut, it is pretty bad. The doctor tells Mark he has 1 minute before the cuts starts bleeding again, and he will stop it. The ref calls time in, and Mark charges forward backing Corey up towards the cage, and throws a right backfist followed by a huge overhand left that catches Corey right on the jaw sending him into a slumber as his body falls lifeless to the ring floor. The fight is stopped at 2:40 of the first round due to knockout.

Way to go Mark, special thanks to all the people who showed up in support of Mark on short notice.

Mark Serkez boosts his record to 6-3 with a dominating performance over Reuben Millhausen at XFC 6 in Tampa, FL.. Coached by Mitch McElroy, Vinnie Samero, and Mike Bell from American Combat Club, Mark showed up in great shape for this fight. At the weigh-ins Mark easily made weight, leveling out the scales at 184.5 lbs. On the other hand Rueben did not have it so easy, showing up to the scales 3 lbs. over weight. After being given an additional 2 hours to cut weight , Reuben was still 1.5 lbs. over. Mark, not worried about his opponents weight took the fight anyway.

As both men entered the ring, Reuben had a significant visual size advantage over Mark, almost enough to think they were in different weight classes. The bell rings and both men rush to the center of the cage and engage in what can be described as a brawl. After several exchanges by each, Reuben pushes Mark against the cage and looks for a takedown, which Mark quickly stuffs. As Mark works his way out of the takedown attempt, he lands a right elbow to the left eye of Reuben, cutting him open. With both men wearing Reuben's blood, they again square off in the center of the cage. Reuben swings wildly looking for that one punch that will end the fight quickly, but is answered by a straight left and a right hook from Mark sending Reuben to the canvas. Mark took advantage of this and pounced on his dazed and confused opponent and landed three more shots before the referee stepped in and stopped the fight at 2:11 of the first round awarding Mark the TKO.

Congratulations to Mark Serkez, and thank you to every one who showed up to the fight for support!
